Located within the RSL Club complex in Port Pirie, some 235 kms north of Adelaide, the Museum was opened on the 20th of April 2008. This modern and state of the art facility tells the stories of the contributions and sacrifices made to our Nation by service personnel from all conflicts - from the Boer War to modern day Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Museum features two multi media points that allow visitors to access film footage, slides, photos and audio of different conflicts - often from the soldiers' viewpoint.
Individual displays within the exhibits change regularly, so return visits are recommended. The Museum is open on a donation basis, and guided tours are available. The RSL Club bar is open daily at advertised hours.
The Museum is open daily (except Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and New Years Day) from 11am to 4pm or by appointment for tour groups.
